 Broccoli
Salad
Nutritious and delicious featuring fresh broccoli, red onion,
raisins, sunflower seeds and crumbled bacon all mixed together
with a homemade red wine and mayonnaise dressing, this salad
recipe is featured in ‘Home Made Cooking – Good ‘Nuff For
Sharing’, a recipe book published by the Antique Gas & Steam
Engine Museum in Vista, CA.
1 large bunch broccoli
1/4 cup red onion, diced
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup unsalted sunflower seeds
8 strips bacon, crumbled
Chop broccoli (mostly flowers and some small tender stems).
Mix all above ingredients together and toss with the dressing
made from the ingredients below.
1 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 Tbsp. red wine

Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum

1849-1949 era; the museum collects, preserves
and displays examples of mechanical ingenuity
and crafts associated with the early days of the
