Written by Herb and Helen Haydock and published by Turner Publishing, ‘Beer Advertising Memorabilia’ is a phenomenal "coffee table" book that portrays the passion of collecting "breweriana", or beer memorabilia. It has obviously taken years of love and undying passion to gather, organize and photograph all the items in the book. The history of American Breweries comes alive through the pages and pages of their colorful and often humorous advertising campaigns. A unique feature is that each of the items photographed have also been assigned a dollar value. So, if you are a collector, I definitely see this as a ‘must-have’ book.

Herb Haydock's father used to own a tavern in Milwaukee and both his mother and grandmother made home brews--this accounts for his passion in collecting beer memorabilia. Up until 1996, the Haydock's had the largest private collection of beer memorabilia in the world, until the Miller Brewing Company purchased the collection.

A brief history of breweries, saloons, advertising campaigns, beer containers, bottles, cans, and the drinking vessels runs throughout the book. It covers everything related to beer and beer drinking. The photos are of high quality and the book is a delight to page through.
