Sol
Duc Falls in Olympic National Park
Olympic
National Park is located in the U.S. state of
Washington, in the Olympic Peninsula, about 85 miles or so, west
of
Seattle. The park can be divided into three basic
regions: the Pacific coastline, the Olympic Mountains, and the
temperate rainforest. There are also two hot springs within the
park, Sol Duc Hot Springs and Olympic Hot Springs. It is said
that no Indian has every died at the springs, due to the "strong
medicine" in the water. Native American legend has it that two
dragons once fought over the land here, and the fight ended in a
draw. The dragons were so mortified over the lack of a winner,
that they withdrew into their respective caves--their tears
formed the hot springs. The water cascades over a sandstone
brim, forming three falls, then rushes out through a deep
canyon. The road is amazing, and you can stand on a rustic
bridge and listen.
See if you can imagine the two dragons as you make this puzzle.

Our Mission:
"Big Blend Magazine is a company based on the belief that education is the most formidable weapon that can be waged against fear, ignorance and prejudice.
It is our belief that education starts at
home and branches outward. Education leads to travel, and
travel leads to understanding, tolerance, and appreciation
of cultures and customs different to our own, and ultimately
to world peace. Our company is further based on the
principle that networking, communication, and helping others
to promote and market themselves leads to financial
stability; thus paving the way to better education, travel,
and the spirit of giving back to the community." |
