Favors
for Your
Wedding Guests
By Sally Manglicmot, creator of Wedding’s a Breeze
Wedding
Planning Products.
Giving wedding
favors provide a nice memento for your guests. Weddings held in the
16th century included giving real favors (such as jewels) to their
guests; of course, those were reserved for the wealthy folk
only--royalty, that is. Today, there is a wide selection of favors
for your guests, from low cost to richly-priced. Many favors can be
ordered from your stationery store where you purchased your
invitations or on the Internet. The best gifts are those that
represent something about you. Maybe you are tennis or golf fans, or
love dolphins, or chocolate. Then find a gift that resembles your
likes and have it engraved or add a ribbon with your names and
wedding date and a note of thanks. Add humor if it is fitting. Your
creativeness is ready to show itself. Remember, this is just a token
of thanks to your guests for sharing their day with you. If you are
on a tight budget, then a simple dish of candy-coated almonds on the
table next to a thank you note from you is just fine.
The creativity on
which favors to give will come from your heart. Consider anything
special that you remember at a wedding you attended and look at
bridal magazines for starters. Thoughts will come together to create
something that's unique to you and your sweetie. If you have a
theme, then it is easier to think of fun favors for your guests.
Beach or Hawaiian themes usually provide a lei for each guest. A
country western wedding might have dried flowers with engraved
ribbons for the guests to take home. Go to an arts and craft store
to see the hundreds of items you can create. The Internet provides
hundreds of creative favors and gifts for your guests--the
difficulty might be in selecting one from the many.
Here are some
trendy ideas: Personalized chocolate candy bars--personalized
labels with your photo, names and wedding date on the cover.
Personalized wine bottles, personalized CDs produced by professional
companies with a personal greeting, personalized playing cards with
a photo of you and your sweetie, your names and your wedding date.
The cards are professionally created and contain a full deck.

Our Mission:
Our Mission: "Big Blend Magazine is a company based on the belief that education is the most formidable weapon that can be waged against fear, ignorance and prejudice.
It is our belief that education starts at
home and branches outward. Education leads to travel, and
travel leads to understanding, tolerance, and appreciation
of cultures and customs different to our own, and ultimately
to world peace. Our company is further based on the
principle that networking, communication, and helping others
to promote and market themselves leads to financial
stability; thus paving the way to better education, travel,
and the spirit of giving back to the community." |
